He’s widely admired around the world, and especially in Norway. It’s the kind of festival where there are four or five concerts a day and every one of them is completely packed in this smallish church. It’s amazing how many people they fit into that church! It’s a wonderful atmosphere there. Risor is a fishing village which is very, very beautiful. One doesn’t sleep because there are so many concerts and rehearsals, but also because the sun never goes down. I loved being there. It was extremely concentrated, but I enjoyed the work and the performances very much.
I’ve been very lucky to have gotten awards.
